East Gippsland Shire Council is inviting community groups to organise Australia Day celebrations in their local community. Grants are available to a range of groups and organisations throughout the Shire to assist the community in enjoying Australia Day celebrations on Monday 26 January 2025.
Grants funding is available in the range of $500 to $750 per organisation. One Australia Day event per community will be supported.
Council would like activities on Australia Day to be free to the public, however, understands that community groups may seek some donations to subsidise other costs.
Expression of Interest
Please complete the following funding application and submit it by 5pm on 10 December 2025.
Following your event you will be required to submit an Acquittal form. A link to the Acquittal form will be sent to you at a later date, which we look forward to receiving by the end of February 2026.
Funding
Once we have received all Expressions of Interest, we will review applications and determine the funding amounts, we will notify you of the approved amount and will require an invoice from your organisation if your application is successful. All applicants will be notified.
